Ibrahim, Hanif share honours

KARACHI, June 6: Spinners Hanif Malik and Ibrahim Ali Khan took five wickets apiece as R.A. Model School outclassed GBSS Jamia Millia by 167 runs in the PCB Inter-school cricket tournament Karachi region match at Pak Star Ground on Monday.

Ibrahim took five for 23 and Hanif five for 25 as GBSS Jamia Millia crumbled to 78 all out in 18.2 overs.

Zeeshan Khan hit 82 with eight boundaries and Junaid Shabbir 53 with three fours as R.A. Model mustered 245 for eight in 45 overs.

Slow left-armer Israrul Haq captured six for 17 to bowl Daffodils School to a 151-run win against GBSS Model School at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground. Ishtiaq Ghauri and Hussain Hayat hammered half centuries for the winners.

At Asifabad Ground, GBSS Ebrahim Alibhai thrashed Pak National Grammar by 68 runs. Off-spinner Fazal Subhan took four for 35 for the winners.

In another match, New Oxford School beat Young Scholars by 118 runs at KCCA Stadium.
