SHIKARPUR, June 6: A woman and a man were killed and six others sustained bullet injuries in a clash between two groups in village Bado of taluka Garhi Yasin on Tuesday morning.

Reports reaching here said some people of the Maulana Bux Lolai group had attacked members of the Tabib Lolai group when they were working in their fields near Bado village.

A heavy exchange of Kalashnikov fire and rocket launchers, one Bagh Ali, son of Tabib Lolai, and a passer by woman Meharga, wife of Abdul Sattar Golo, were killed.

Six others belonging to the two groups, including Basheer, Ahmed Ali, Zamir, Zeba, Wahid Bux and Sajan Soomro, were seriously injured.

The injured were sent to the Larkana civil hospital. The three-four year dispute between the groups has claimed 12 lives.

On the complaint of Ms Moomal, sister of Bagh Ali, the Dakhan police have registered an FIR against 27 persons.

RALLY: Journalists and activists of political and religious parties, social and city associations took out a rally in Garhi Yasin to protest against deteriorating law and order situation in the taluka on Tuesday.
