Abbas grabs winner

KARACHI, June 5: Mohammad Abbas struck the decisive goal in 79th minute as National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) entered the final of All-Pakistan Shaheed Anwer Bhai football tournament beating Gwadar Port Trust (GPT) 3-2 in semifinal on Monday at Peoples Sports Complex.

Earlier, Jameel Ahmed and Farooq fired goals for the bankers while Mohammad Javed and Mohammad Tariq were the scorers for GPT.

In the last league match of the tournament, KESC outkicked Karachi West 5-1 to advance into the last eight stages of the event.

A brilliant display by Shakir Lashari who recorded the fourth hat trick of the tournament was the highlight of the match.--PPI
