KARACHI, June 5: Five ships carrying containers, project cargo and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where 11 ships were berthed. They are: Corin Thaikos, Yang Jiang He, Wan Hai-306, Kota Tabah, Troyburg to unload and load containers, D.D.Vigor, to unload coal, Shan Shah-1, to unload fertiliser, Superior Pescadores, Fu Yu Shan to unload and load general cargo, and Mesaieed, to unload crude oil.

Five ships, Orient Independence, Yang Jiang He, Lyex, Johar and Sinar Kota departed, while Wan Hai-306, Tryburg, Fu Yu Shan, Superior Pescadores, Kota Tabah, Corin Thaikos and Maersk Alabama are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.170m tons comprising 22,573 tons of export cargo including 4,415 tons of rice and 780 tons of cement and 0.147m tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Oriental Tulip, to load ethanol, Ever Guard, APL Jeddah, Mol Silver Fern, with containers and Thor Falcon, with project cargo.
