PCB ad hoc body meets today

LAHORE, June 4: Pakistan Cricket Board’s ad hoc committee will approve team managements for Pakistan and 'A' teams at its meeting on Monday. Pakistan are to tour England later this month while the ‘A’ squad leaves for Australia in July.

Former Test captain Zaheer Abbas is likely to be named as the senior team manager.

He was appointed manager for the tour of Sri Lanka earlier this year but was sidelined for the short trip to Abu Dhabi in April.

Saleem Altaf, the PCB director cricket operations, was given the charge of manager for the desert tour.

The ad hoc committee will also consider pay-rise demands of the senior players who were given central contracts a year ago.
