KARACHI, June 4: The Awami Himayat Tehreek on Sunday observed black day and staged a rally outside Karachi Press Club to protest against presence of blasphemy cartoons on internet in Pakistan despite directive of the Supreme Court to the government to immediately jam the sketches.

AHT Chief Maulvi Iqbal Haider addressing the participants of the rally, who were holding black flags, recalled that on the instruction of the Supreme Court a case had been registered under 295 PPC in Gulberg Police Station but the police had failed to take action against the culprits.

He announced that a protest rally would be staged on June 9 outside police head office to hand over memorandum in this connection to the IG police.
