LAKKI MARWAT: Deputy commissioner Hamidullah Khan on Friday launched the district-wide employee digitisation initiative, a comprehensive effort to preserve and compile the complete service record of every government employee in a centralised digital database.
The launching ceremony was held at the Jirga Hall in the District Headquarters Complex, Tajazai.
On the occasion, the deputy commissioner said that the initiative would pave the way for further improvements such as biometric attendance, real-time performance monitoring, and the elimination of ghost employees.
“It will also ensure integrity and accuracy within all line departments,” he said.
Hamidullah said that aligned with the government’s ‘Digital Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Vision’, the initiative reflected the district administration’s resolve to replace outdated manual systems with data-driven management tools.
“The system will document each employee’s professional journey from initial appointment to present posting, ensuring that every contribution is recorded, recognised, and easily accessible,” he said.
The DC said the transition would help enhance administrative efficiency and restore confidence in public service by making systems transparent and responsive.
“Once operational, the system will ensure that employee information is accurate, organised, and available at a click, eliminating delays and enhancing coordination between departments,” he added.
Officials noted that what once took days of searching through files would now take seconds, a symbolic yet powerful step toward a more efficient administration.
“The newly-designed digital form will capture essential details, including current postings, designations, qualifications, service histories, promotions, and special achievements of all government employees,” they claimed.
DC Hamidullah said that in the next phase, the district administration would also begin digital documentation of all public assets, including government buildings, vehicles, machinery, and facilities to make every resource traceable, auditable, and transparent.
