SARGODHA: Three boy students of a private school gang-raped over dozen of students and made their videos to blackmail them.
Two of them were arrested by the Satellite Town police after the regional police officer took notice of the complaint of the mother of a gang-rape survivor boy on social media.
According a police report, the gang had allegedly gang-raped a boy of their school at gunpoint, made his video and made it viral when the victim refused to be exploited again. Police arrested two of them and recovered obscene videos of dozens of students from their possession. A case was registered.
The management of the private school attempted to hide the matter but the mother of one survivor showed courage and persisted when police refused to register the case. Her husband works in Muscat. She said her son was disturbed and avoided going to school. On her query, he disclosed the reason.
ROBBERY: A housemaid stole earrings, cash and valuables worth Rs0.65m from the house of assistant commissioner of tehsil Sahiwal.
According to the FIR, Azra Batool, who worked as a maid at the AC’s house stole earrings worth Rs400,000, Rs50,000 cash, perfumes worth Rs200,000 and ATM cards.
Sahiwal police registered a case upon the complaint of Ansar Mehmood, the security guard of the AC.
DUMPSTERS: New dumpsters provided in Sargodha city under the Clean Punjab project have become unusable within a few days. According to reports from different areas of the city, the community garbage bins are falling apart due to the use of substandard materials.
The citizens say that the administration spent hundreds of thousands of rupees on the dumpsters but did not pay attention to the quality, due to which their wheels and frames broke within a few days.
At several places, sanitation workers were seen repairing broken bins.
The citizens have demanded the district administration to take action against the contractors who provided these substandard bins.
ACCIDENT: Woman died after being hit by a mini-bus on the Sargodha-Jhang Road.
As per police sources, the speeding bus crushed a 35-year-old woman near the 92 police checkpost when she was crossing the road. She was identified as Saba Shahzad, a resident of Ahmedpur.
Her body was shifted to the hospital and handed over to her heirs, and the police are investigating.
BOOKED: A case has been registered against two members of the encroachment mafia who have been occupying more than 200 kanals of the public land in Sargodha for a long time.
According to sources, the encroachment mafia has not only occupied the land but also constructed buildings on 87 kanals and 141 kanals of abandoned properties of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) in Bhera town.
The Bhera Police Station has registered a case against two members of the encroachment mafia, Imran Ali Jhamat and Adil Khan Khokhar on the complaint of the Hassan Turab Ali of the ETPB.
