PESHAWAR, June 1: A widow hailing from Nowshera on Thursday sought the government’s help against her brothers-in-law who she alleged hadkidnapped her son and occupied the property belonging to her husband who died a week ago.

Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, the widow of Haji Aftab Alam said that her brothers-in-law had occupied her property, including, vehicles and a hujra, on the third day of her husband’s death.

The widow said that her five brothers-in-law, one of them identified as Zar Alam, who is district vice-president of the Awami National Party, had kidnapped her 14-year-old son, Basit Alam, thee months ago.
