Trump lauds Egypt’s Sisi for helping secure Gaza ceasefire

Al Jazeera reported on comments from US President Donald Trump during a sit-down with his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Speaking to reporters, Trump heaped praise on his Egyptian counterpart, saying Sisi had a “very important role” in the negotiations with Hamas.

“The United States is with him all the way,” Trump said.
