Punjab PML elections

LAHORE, May 28: PML chief election coordinator Kamil Ali Agha on Sunday set up a five-member committee for holding party’s provincial elections on July 25.

The committee will now approach the Punjab PML president Pervaiz Elahi for steps to complete the electoral process at the lower tiers.

Mian Abdus Sattar is the convener of the committee while Chaudhry Muhammad Siddique, Mian Javed Ali, Shahana Farooqi and Ramzan Bhatty are its members.

Committees for elections in other provinces will be announced during the next few days.

According to party sources, the Punjab Election Committee called on Chaudhry Shujaat Husain on Sunday and discussed with him matters concerning party polls. —Staff Reporter
