The intensity of floods in Punjab is expected to further lessen over the next two days as the floodwater moves downstream, says PDMA DG Irfan Ali Kathia.

“Water flow at Panjnad is 411,000 cusecs at the moment,” he said, while Ganda Singh Wala is now in a “medium flood” with the water flow recorded at 98,000 cusecs.

“Head Sidhnai and Sulemanki remain in a ‘low flood’ situation,” he added.
