Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro has chaired a meeting to oversee the ongoing work at the Sukkur Barrage in light of the flood situation, according to a statement issued by the ministry.
During the meeting, the provincial minister was briefed by Chinese engineers and officers from the irrigation department on the ongoing work on the Sukkur Barrage ahead of the possible floods.
Shoro instructed relevant authorities to monitor the situation at the river Indus 24/7.
