PDMA DG Kathia has also said that the flow of water will reach “peak” at Head Muhammad Wala, which can lead to a critical gauge by evening.
He said that breaching Head Muhammad Wala in case of a critical gauge will affect a population of 37,000 people across different villages and 7,000-10,000 households.
“The site has been closed for traffic,” he said, adding that all important decisions were taken amid a worsening situation.
