More than 2,000 mouzas (villages) have been affected by the severe floods in Punjab, according to the province’s Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed.
A statement issued by the commissioner said around 2,066,000 people have been impacted collectively so far, while 760,000 were rescued.
The authorities have set up 511 relief camps, 354 medical camps and 333 veterinary camps in the flood-hit districts. The statement further said 516,000 cattle have been relocated to safety.
