The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has announced that, with the recent floods continuing to impact various parts of Punjab, it is collaborating with cellular mobile operators (CMOs) and providing free voice minutes to subscribers in flood-hit areas in special relief measures for the affected population.

“This facility will enable even those customers with zero balance to remain connected with their families and access emergency services during this challenging time,” it said.

It said it acknowledged and appreciated the support extended by CMOs and assured the public that it would continue to closely monitor communication services in the flood-affected regions to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
