Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Asif Haider Shah has called a meeting — second in the past 24 hours— to review the emergency arrangements being made across Sindh in light of possible high flood at Guddu and Panjand barrages.
At Panjand and Guddu barrages, water level is constantly being monitored, the chief secretary said. He said that around 700,000 to 800,00 cusecs of water is expected at Panjand.
Staff from the irrigation department are present at the river embankments, overseeing the situation.
