ISLAMABAD, May 23: Rawalpindi police have sought the help of all airport and bank managements in arresting Mohammad Arif Abbasi, who is suspected of killing his son Dr Saqib Abbasi, a US national, and wounding his daughter-in-law Habiba, police said.

Through separate letters, police have asked the managements of Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Karachi airports not to allow Arif board any international flight, and inform the police if he tries to do so.

Likewise, the banks where the accused was keeping his accounts have been asked to inform police if Arif or any other person on his behalf tries to withdraw money or carries out any other transaction.

Police are still clueless about the disappearance of the accused who went missing soon after the incident. Separate teams are conducting raids in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and different places of Azad Kashmir and the NWFP to arrest him.

The injured wife of the US national had told the police that her father-in-law killed her husband and wounded her when they were preparing to leave for Islamabad airport to fly off to the United State on May 22.

The sources told Dawn that the body of Dr Saqib was likely to be sent to the US on Wednesday (today) for burial.
