KARACHI: An 18-year-old boy was shot dead in Lyari on Monday, police said.

Kalri SHO Saleem Marwat said two friends were chatting near Ghazi Masjid in Agra Taj Colony when a scuffle broke out between them over an unspecified issue. During the argument, the suspect, identified as Saddam Husain, killed Talha Mohammad before fleeing.

Woman dies by suicide

A woman was found dead inside her home in Zakaria Goth near the Superhighway on Monday, police said.

Malir Cantonment SHO Agha Abdul Rasheed said relatives of Sadia Rasheed, 30, claimed she had died by suicide after hanging herself.

The body was shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

The police said they were awaiting the final medical report to ascertain whether it was a murder or she took her own life.
