HYDERABAD, May 21: The Sindh Nationalist Forum announced here on Saturday that the forum would organise “International Paigham-e-Sindh Conference” in March next year at the shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.

Speaking at a news conference at the Hyderabad press club, the forum secretary, Asif Baladi said that the basic purpose of the conference was to disseminate information about the unique culture of thousands of years of Sindh and its philosophy to the world.

He said that 100,000 earthen lamps would be lit at the shrine of the great Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai on the occasion of the conference.

Mr Baladi said that invitations would also be sent to custodians of Dargahs of Sachal Sarmast, Rakhial Saeen of Dargah Fatehpur in Balochistan, Khwaja Fareed, Bulley Shah, Bhagat Kabeer shrines and shrines of Sufis in the NWFP.

Ghulam Hyder Buriro, Aijaz Khizri, Asghar Azeemani and Irfan Almani were present on the occasion.—Bureau
