KARACHI: Shifting of graves

KARACHI, May 21: A large number of people under the banner of ‘Action Committee of Affectees of Graveyard Manoon Goth’ staged a demo and protest rally from Hassan Square to Gharibabad on Sunday against a scheme to shift 2,000 graves from the Manoon Goth graveyard.

Addressing the rally, MMA’s MNA Muhammad Hussain Mehanti, MPA Nasrullah Shajji, Abdul Kareem Abid, Haji Hanif Tayyab, Muhammad Abdullah, Ghulam Abbass Qadri, Maulana Muhammad Ashraf and others criticized the city government’s decision of shifting more than 2,000 graves from the Manoon Goth graveyard near Hassan Square.—PPI
