SUKKUR, May 20: More than 50 Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) activists staged a protest rally and demonstration in front of the press club on Saturday, against the bulldozing of Sindhi localities, construction of dams and arrest of Dr Safdar Sarki.

The protesters led by JSQM leaders, Lala Suhail Pathan and Riaz Shaikh began their march from Teer Chowk and reached the press club where they staged a protest demonstration.

The leaders alleged that the government had killed many Sindhi leaders in the past, and feared that Dr Safdar Sarki might also have been killed.

They warned the party would launch a strong protest movement if the government did not release Dr Safdar and demanded the government stop bulldozing of Sindhi localities or be prepared to face its outcome.

Later, the protestors offered fateha for the father of Dr Safdar Sarki who had died recently.
