Seven officials suspended

KHAIRPUR, Oct 5: The vice-chancellor of the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Abdul Rahim Malik, has suspended seven officials of the university on the charges of malpractice.

Those suspended belong to Latif Panel and Shahbaz Panel of the association of lower employees of the university.

They were Latif Panel president Mir Hassan Metlo, general- secretary Feroz Ali Phulpoto, Imam Ali Shah, Raza Mohammad Durrani, Bagh Ali Jalbani of the Shahbaz Panel, Amir Ali Mirani and Syed Ahsan Ali Shah.

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: Hero Kolhi, 10, tried to commit suicide by taking poison in the Raja Farm village here on Friday. He was said to have attempted to end his life after he became angry with his father. He was admitted to a local hospital, where his condition was stated to be out of danger.
