KARACHI, May 18: Three ships carrying steel plates, steel rods and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Marca Labria, Kota Wajar, MOL Silver Fern, Y.M. Fortune, Hyundai Sprinter to unload and load containers and Sea Rose to offload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed were led by Kota Wajar, Jade Trader, Corin Thaikos, APL Osaka and Iran Sattari, while Hyundai Sprinter, Furia-R, Marc Labria, Sea Rose, Eric G. Gibbon and Heroic Ace are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 48,254 tons comprising 10,265 tons of export cargo and 37,989 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Thamtsa Naree, with steel plates, Haje Khereh, with general cargo and Sea Brilliance, with wire rods.
