KARACHI, May 17: Press watchdog Reporters Sans Frontiers has called upon the Pakistani government to explain the disappearance of Hayatullah Khan, correspondent of a Urdu daily and an European photo agency, who was kidnapped on Dec 5, 2005 in Mirali, North Waziristan, says a press release. The organisation said it noted the statement by a US diplomat on May 10, 2006 that the US was not involved in the disappearance.

“We again call on the Pakistani government, and particularly the federal information minister to explain the disappearance of Hayatullah Khan and to mobilise all necessary resources to resolve this case which has gone on too long,” says the press release.
