PESHAWAR, May 17: Provincial Health Minister Inayatullah Khan has said that only the Islamic way of life can ensure prevention of deadly diseases. He was speaking as chief guest at an awareness seminar organised by Jamaat-i-Islami and the HIV/Aids Control Programme in Nowshera on Wednesday.

The minister said that the mass awareness campaign was the only way to prevent Aids, hepatitis and other killer diseases and added that most of the diseases could be controlled by safe blood transfusion and using clean drinking water.

Other speakers underlined the need for clean environment and urged people to help keep environment neat and clean.

Dr Amir Rehman asked people to avoid transfusion of unsafe blood, contaminated syringes and un-Islamic practices.

He said injections should be avoided as far as possible.
