Germany will organise an airlift of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, Chancellor Friedrich Merz has said after Israel promised to open secure routes amid international concern over hunger in the territory, AFP reports.
“The German government, in cooperation with Jordan, will immediately establish an airlift for humanitarian aid to Gaza,” Merz said, adding that Berlin would work with Paris and London on the initiative.
