SAHIWAL: A consignment of 255 bags containing 25kg each of smuggled dry milk has been recovered during a raid on the Lahore-bond Jaffar Express at the Sahiwal railway station on Tuesday.

Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) officials Haji Muhammad and Talha Mumtaz said the consignment was booked as a cargo item from Quetta.

They said the confiscated items were valued at Rs1.46 million.

No arrests had been made so far in the case and investigation was underway to identify the person who booked the consignment and the recipient.
