CHARSADDA: Two persons were killed and five others injured when firing rang out during a jirga between rival parties in Chendro Dag area of Tangi tehsil here on Sunday.

The police said a verbal altercation between the rival parties resulted in the death of Yar Mohammad from one group, and Ikram from the other group.

The injured were shifted to a hospital in Peshawar in critical condition.

The Tangi police have registered a report.

OFFICE MANAGEMENT: An office management system (OMS) was launched in the district prosecution office here on Sunday.

The inaugural ceremony was held at the district prosecution office. Director General Public Prosecution Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rubina Bukhari, district public prosecutor Sangin Shah, and other were in attendance.

On the occasion, Rubina Bukhari announced to launch the OMS system in all the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“After the launch of the system all information, from FIR registration to court decisions, will be available on one click,” she said.

Sangin Shah said that the system would have all the records, from FIR to court decisions, which will benefit both the public and the public prosecution department.

He said prosecutors were the defenders of the public, but unfortunately, there was a lack of awareness about it. “The police, prosecutors and the judiciary are three stakeholders in the delivery of justice, in which prosecutors play a key role because the prosecution department helps the police and judiciary a great deal.”

He said that the public can get the information they need regarding any case from the district prosecution office.
