NAROWAL: The 15-year-old victim of the Swat River tragedy has been laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard after the family received his body 21 days after the incident.
After 10 members of a family from Daska, Sialkot, drowned in the Swat River, the dead bodies of nine family members were found but the body of Abdullah (15) remained missing. His body was finally recovered after search operations continued for 21 days.
Abdullah’s body reached Daska from Swat late on Thursday night and his funeral prayers were offered at Darul Uloom Madina on Friday. Hundreds of locals attended his funeral prayers and he was buried in his ancestral graveyard.
