HYDERABAD, May 15: Speakers at the “Karachi bachao conference” held here on Sunday voiced concern over target killings of religious leaders, politicians, doctors and students in Karachi.
The conference was convened by the Hyderabad chapter of the Islami Jamiatul Tuleba at the press club.
Speaking on the occasion, MNA Asadullah Bhutto said that Sindh was in the grip of terrorism.
He held the government responsible for violence against students, saying that the MQM was behind violence in educational institutions.
Mr Bhutto said that a new avenue of terrorism had been opened following the dissolution of APMSO.
Mr Bhutto said that even small villages, katchi abadis and flats were not safe where these people were opening their offices and hoisting their flags by using state machinery.
He said that time was not far when the terrorist party would disappear from the political arena of Karachi.
JUP leader Abdul Rehman Rajput, MPA, alleged that the terrorist party was enjoying the support of the army since 1985.
