LAHORE: Two madressah teachers were arrested on charge of raping three minor children multiple times in tehsil Alipur of district Muzaffargarh on Tuesday.

Saddar Police Station received a complaint from the uncle of the three children who were studying in a registered religious seminary, Tajul Aloom, at village Baqir Shah.

The complainant said that he had enrolled his three nephews aged 11, 12, and 12 in madressah for Hifz-e-Quran three months ago. He said that the cousins remained in the madressah for three months. When they came back home, they narrated their ordeal.

Quoting the children, he said that two of their teachers kept raping them for three months and also hurled threats of dire consequences for reporting the matter to the family or anyone else. He sought action against the identified suspects. Police registered the case against both the qaris and arrested them.
