Al Jazeera’s Maram Humaid, who is in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, says the Israeli military has escalated its attacks over the past 24 hours.

“Overnight, the sky was filled with Apache helicopters and quadcopters, which bombed the area three times,” she reports. “Residents were left too afraid to turn on any light and have tried to limit their movements as much as possible, as the relentless air strikes targeting built-up areas have continued throughout the day.”
