ISLAMABAD, May 12: Pakistan Muslim League (N) on Friday accused that the government had planned to bring the body of Amir Cheema from Germany at night and bury it secretly to avoid protest demonstrations by the opposition parties.

Pakistan Muslim League (N) Joint Secretary Siddiqul Farooq told reporters at a press conference here that the Pakistani student was killed by the German police and prison personnel in cold blood. Later on, it was given out that he had committed suicide, he blamed.

He demanded an independent inquiry into the death of Amir Cheema. He also demanded constitution of a panel of eminent Pakistani lawyers and human rights activists to investigate into the case. Mr Farooq also demanded a fresh post mortem on the body of Mr Cheema by a team of doctors and forensic experts.

Mr Farooq said that Pakistan and Germany had very cordial relations and such incidents could sour the relations between the peoples of the two countries.
