KURRAM: Four people were killed when a mortar shell fired from unknown direction hit a place where youngsters were playing in Torghar area of central Kurram district on Saturday afternoon.
According to police sources, some spectators were enjoying a game played by youngsters in Torghar area of central Kurram when the mortar shell exploded with a bang.
As a result, Hamid, Riaz, Ayaz and Irfan were killed on the spot.
After the incident, the local people staged a demonstration, and demanded that the government conduct an inquiry into the incident and take action against those held responsible.
