PORT-OF-SPAIN, May 11: Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (T&TCB) will host an ICC tri-nation series from May 16-20 at Queen's Park Oval.

The tournament, to serve as preparation for the World Cup 2007 to be hosted in the region, will feature Zimbabwe, Bermuda and Canada, who will have warm-up matches for World Cup.

It is also part of overall development of associate members of ICC cricket development programme. Manager T&T squad Omar Khan said T&TCB were approached by ICC to host tournament and they consented to request.

Zimbabwe will stay on after final two games of seven ODI series against West Indies, a series that concludes on Sunday in Port-of-Spain.

The series will first see Canada playing Zimbabwe on May 16, Bermuda tackles Canada on May 17 before Bermuda oppose Zimbabwe on May 18.

After round-robin format, top two teams will contest final on May 20. All four matches, deemed official ODIs by ICC.

West Indian legend Clive Lloyd will be match referee and adjudicator for entire series. International elite umpire Simon Taufel and Bermuda's Roger Dill, who will become first associate umpire to officiate in an ODI, will be umpires.—Agencies
