Teacher booked for allegedly assaulting student

TAXILA: Police booked a teacher for allegedly sexually assaulting a student on Saturday within the premises of the seminary located in Mohallah Zargran in village Kasran in the limits of Pindigheb police station.

The victim’s mother, Rehana Bibi, reported to police that her teenage son was a student of a local seminary located in the village. On Saturday, when he did not return home on time, she went to the seminary and knocked on the door. While his teacher came out, he informed her that her son had already gone home.

Meanwhile, she heard her son’s cries and ran to the room and found her son. When inquired, he informed that his teacher had sexually assaulted him.

The woman took the victim to the police station. After medical examination at the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, the assault was confirmed. Police registered a case against the nominated accused and started further investigation.
