KARACHI, May 11: Normal water supply to UC-6 Mauripur in Keamari Town has been suspended due to stoppage of water from the Gulbai Pumping Station, which is in crisis because it is not getting its due quota.

This situation has created a serious water shortage problem in UCs 4, 6 and 8 Gabopat, according to the Nazim of UC Mauripur, Allah Bakhsh Baloch.

He said the matter was also brought to the notice of the city nazim, the KSWB chief engineer and town nazim Keamari by the community’s elders but so far no tangible result has been received and the situation is getting from bad to worse.

He maintained that it was the unanimous opinion of the community leaders that water supply schedule, which was in practice for the past 25 years, should be restored.
