OKARA: Three children were sexually abused and raped in separate incidents. The police have arrested two suspects.

In the Rathoran Wali locality of Haveli Lakha, a qari of the local seminary was arrested for allegedly torturing and performing ‘shameful acts’ on his nine-year old student.

According to the first information report (FIR), registered four days ago, the qari allegedly undressed the student, thrashed him with his sandals and sexually abused him at the seminary. The students of the seminary witnessed the minor child’s ordeal and informed his parents. Haveli police registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s father under sections 377-B and 355 of the PPC and arrested the suspect.

In another incident, a 9th class student was allegedly raped by a mobile phone shop owner.

The FIR said that on Wednesday night, the victim, a resident of Fatehpur village, went to buy a mobile phone from a roadside shop in the village.

The shop owner took him on his motorcycle on the pretext of purchasing the phone from Bangla Gogera.

The suspect stopped the bike at a deserted place, raped the boy and fled while threatening him to not to tell anyone. The victim told his family about his ordeal when he reached home.

The police registered a case against the suspect on the complaint of the victim’s father and arrested him.

A similar incident was reported at village Lakkhu Malkana where an eight-year old child was raped. As per the FIR, the suspect took the child to his house on some pretext when he was playing outside. The suspect raped the minor and escaped when witnesses arrived.

Mandi Ahmadabad police registered a case.
