RAWALPINDI: A woman stabbed a teenager to death in Dhoke Elahi Bakhsh area of Waris Khan police station on Monday.

Police claimed to have arrested the woman and one of her sons after registration of a murder case while police are carrying out raids to arrest the other accused.

Raja Iftikhar Ahmad, a resident of Dhoke Elahi Baksh, lodged an FIR with Waris Khan police saying that he was standing in street no 3 where his nephew Talha and three other persons were also present.

He said, in the meantime, brothers Sarfraz, Mehtab, Shahnawaz and Samad came there and started quarrelling with his nephew.

He said he, his nephew Armaghan and Osama asked them why they were quarrelling with Talha.

He further said that in the meantime, Shazia Bibi, mother of the brothers, came out with a knife and stabbed Talha on the neck, which left him critically injured.

He said on seeing the situation, the mother and her sons escaped from the scene.

Talha was being shifted to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.

He said in the FIR that there had been a quarrel between two of the brothers and another person in the street and Talha had stopped the fight. This, he added, annoyed the two brothers.

Police said the woman and one of her sons were involved in the murder of the 17-year-old youngster and that raids were underway to arrest the other accused.
