ISLAMABAD, May 10: The world’s largest Holy Quran, with a weight of 9,000kg, has been put on display for public.
The 202-page holy book, made of stainless steel, is eight feet long and four feet wide. The weight of its each page is about 70kg, a private news channel reported on Wednesay.
It took Javaid Iqbal, an engineer from Gujranwala, two and a half years to prepare the book in collaboration with local philanthropists at a total cost of Rs8.5 million, the report said.
The holy book is put on display in Sialkot city by the district government and will be gifted to Saudi Arabia, it added.—APP
