TOBA TEK SINGH: A child kidnapped on Friday from Mohallah Blaqi Shahwala located in the precincts of Jhang Kotwali police station has been recovered by the Crimes Control Department (CCD) on Sunday.

Police said the CCD team conducted a dozen raids in search of two-year-old Muhammad Essa in Jhang, Chiniot and Toba districts.

They said finally the woman abductor was tracked and the child was recovered from her custody. The police also arrested the accused.

When the Jhang CCD team arrived at the Mohallah Blaqi Shahwala to hand over the child to his parents, hundreds

of locals showered currency notes and rose petals on policemen and the child.

ARRESTED: Madina Town Faisalabad police arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) on Sunday in a kidnapping for ransom case registered against him 10 years ago.

The police claimed that in 2015, in a police raid, abductee Muhammad Ashiq was recovered but the PO had escaped.

The Madina Town police also arrested a murder case suspect two years after he was declared a PO by a court. Suspect Robin Yaqub Maseeh was traced using modern technology by the Crime Control Department (CCD).

THIEVES CAUGHT: Two men and three women from Sahiwal were caught by villagers of Mamukanjan area Chak 603 GB in Tandlianwala tehsil on Sunday when they were allegedly stealing two goats from outside the house of villager Muhammad Ramzan.

The villagers chased the car of the escaping thieves and recovered the stolen goats.

They were thrashed and later handed over to the Mamukanjan police. A case had been registered against accused Shahid, Kamran, Jamila, Maryam and Saba.
