The Israeli army has said in a statement issued on Telegram in English that it was “currently unaware of injuries caused by IDF troops’ fire within the humanitarian aid distribution site”, Al Jazeera reports.

The statement added that the incident was still under review.

According to Gaza’s civil defence agency, the death toll from Israeli gunfire near the aid distribution centre in Rafah has risen to 22.

According to Middle East Eye, Israeli soldiers are reportedly barring ambulance access to the site in Rafah.
