Israeli far-right activists gathered at Israel’s southern port of Ashdod to block aid destined for the besieged Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera reports.

The media outlet, referring to footage by Israeli media and social media, said the protesters stood in front of trucks as they exited the port gates, while Israeli police forces attempted to remove the protesters from the trucks’ path.

Middle East Eye further reports, quoting Israeli media, that some 20 Israeli right-wing activists from Tzav 9 group blocked the route of humanitarian aid trucks heading to Gaza.

The activists chanted: “You won’t receive a slice of bread until you return the hostages.”

Tzav 9 is sanctioned by the European Union and the former US president Biden’s administration. Their activists have frequently blocking aid trucks and physically assaulted drivers.
