Bodies of US troops found

KABUL, May 7: The US military said on Sunday it had recovered the bodies of 10 American soldiers killed in a helicopter crash in the mountains of eastern Afghanistan.

The Chinook helicopter crashed in the Kunar province on Friday, killing all 10 on board.

The CH-47 plunged into a ravine while conducting operations on a mountain-top landing zone, the military said in a statement. “The cause of the crash is under investigation,” the statement said.— APP
