ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada inaugurated a digital services package on Thursday for the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA).

The services included land and Built-up Property (BuP) record management, mobile application and Geo-tagging, tendering through PPRA e-PADS, project monitoring management, estate and finance management and account management, online member portal, online payment facility, FGEHA resident complaint portal etc.

The event was attended by Secretary Housing Dr Shehzad Khan Bangash, Director General retired Captain Zafar Iqbal and other senior officials and key stakeholders, according to a press release issued by the ministry. During the inauguration ceremony, the FGEHA DG retired Captain Zafar Iqbal gave a briefing and stated that, for the first time in the 35-year history of the organisation, such a state-of-the-art initiative was introduced.

The press release said that Mr Pirzada appreciated the efforts of the FGEHA team.

On the other hand, Secretary Housing Dr Shahzad Khan Bangash retired from his service on Thursday.

The housing minister paid tribute to him for his services. A farewell ceremony was held in a housing ministry upon the retirement of Dr Bangash where the housing minister appreciated his “dedication, professionalism and significant contributions during his tenure,” the statement further said.
