ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu on Monday visited the residence of Squadron Leader Usman Yousaf Shaheed in Rawalpindi to offer condolences to the bereaved family and reiterated the PAF’s resolve to defend the country’s aerial frontiers at all costs.

During the visit, the chief of the air staff paid rich tributes to the martyred officer who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty during a recent enemy attack on an operational air base of the Pakistan Air Force.

He offered Fateha and assured the family that the services and sacrifices of martyrs “would be etched in the nation’s memory and honoured with unwavering reverence forever”.

“PAF remains committed to upholding the legacy of valour and commitment demonstrated by its personnel in the line of duty,” Mr Sidhu said.

Later, the air chief visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi, where he met injured personnel from the Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Army and civilians who sustained injuries during the conflict.

He received a comprehensive medical briefing on their condition and interacted with the wounded, praising their “resilience and unwavering courage in the face of adversity”.
