LAHORE: The annual artworks exhibition by young artists opened at the Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall, on Saturday.

Noted educationist Nighat Ali inaugurated the exhibition along with Lahore Arts Council Board of Governors Chairman Razi Ahmed and Executive Director Tauqeer Haider.

Artworks by Zulekha Ahmed Mandokhail, Laiba Abid Ali, La Raib, Rafay Talpoor and Mugheer Ahmed were declared the best artworks and each received certificates and Rs60,000 cash.

Nighat Ali, while speaking on the occasion, said the list of eminent artists from visual art was a long one and young artists were following in their footsteps.

The exhibition will remain on display till May 30.
