RAWALPINDI: Both Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, visited hospitals in Rawalpindi on Wednesday to inquire about the health of soldiers and civilians injured during the recent escalations between Pakistan and India, emphasising nations’ solidarity with victims.

During his visit, the Speaker praised the bravery and unwavering resolve of the armed forces in defending Pakistan’s territorial integrity and thwarting the enemy’s nefarious designs. He honored the sacrifices made by the nation’s defenders and innocent civilians in the face of aggression.

Speaker strongly condemned the unprovoked attacks by the Indian army, which resulted in the martyrdom of innocent civilians, including women and children. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace while affirming the country’s right to defend its sovereignty.

He conveyed his heartfelt prayers for the swift recovery of the injured soldiers and civilians, assuring them of the nation’s steadfast support and gratitude.

“The entire nation stands united behind our brave armed forces and resilient civilians in this challenging time,” he stated.

Mr. Sadiq also commended the medical staff at CMH Rawalpindi for their dedication and efforts in providing exemplary care to the wounded.

Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi on Wednesday to inquire about Tauqeer Abbas, who was injured in an Indian drone attack near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Tauqeer Abbas is the cousin of Ali Haider, the only brother of eight sisters, who was martyred in the attack.

Minister Naqvi praised Tauqeer’s courage and spoke with doctors about the treatment of his injured eye. He directed the hospital staff to provide the best medical care and assured that every effort would be made to save Tauqeer’s eye.

He also prayed for his quick recovery.

He stated that Pakistan’s victory was made possible due to the sacrifices of its martyrs. Ali Haider, Tauqeer Abbas, and their cousin, Manzoor Faisal, used to sell cheeseburgers outside the cricket stadium to support their family.
