Tensions are high for those living near the Line of Control (LoC), a local resident living in Azad Jammu and Kashmir has said, according to CNN.

The LoC continues to be one of the main flashpoints of the conflict that has erupted between the two neighbouring countries since Wednesday.

“The firing continues the whole night. I have more than 20 family members. I am trying to evacuate them,” Mukhtar Qureshi, a local resident of a village in the Chakothi sector, tells CNN.

Qureshi continued, “Our area is not in liveable condition. There has been heavy shelling in the area. People along the Line of Control are in high tension.”
